Armed
and Dangerous Darkness has taken yet another victim captive. Six young Christians and their pastor will challenge the forces of darkness for this one soul. It is a proportionate battle between good and evil and victory will depend on which side is more Armed and Dangerous. That's how Cleveland McLeish's play, Armed and Dangerous, starts out. Not only does Cleveland bring a little Jamaican flavor to Playhouse Ministries but he also brings throw back theatrical elements to ministry. When I say that, I mean that he uses all the elements of theater to tell a compelling story. His work focuses very honestly on spiritual warfare. The play can be summed up with this one statement. If you aren't studying your Bible and strengthening your prayer life, it won't suddenly "come to you" in the time of need. If a determined demonic attack was waged on your household right now, would you be able to wage war with the enemy? Are you Armed and Dangerous? Requires 12 main characters
with speaking parts; 6 males and 3 females. The rest aren't gender
specific. The play also requires a few extras. Approximate running time
is 30 minutes. Very few props are needed. The story uses the
elements of light and darkness.
I'm
very aware that most of you aren't familiar with Cleveland's work so I'll give
you a chance to check out one of his plays before you proceed. I have to
warn you though, The Valley of Dry Bones is a good skit so I won't leave it up
for free for long. Grab it now while you can. Just click on the
book cover.
