Shake up
Christmas at your church with a play that's definitely not the
same old drama! Blessed
and Highly Favored tells the story of the
birth of Jesus from a fresh and new perspective.
You
know how it usually goes. Mary and Joseph walk around
from hotel to hotel knocking on doors being told that there's
no room at the inn. Finally, they settle in a manger,
she gives birth, the wise men and shepherd boys show up- the
end. Your congregation has seen it over and over again
and frankly there has seemed to be no alternatives.
Well,
that is until I got a hold of the story. Don't get me
wrong, the story still follows the scripture. I just
fired it up with some excitement and drama.
How did I do
that? As I read the scripture, I sat back and wondered
what the conversation would have been like between Mary and
Joseph when she told him that she was pregnant. What
would Herod's court be like?
As with all of my plays, you're
going to laugh, cry and most importantly be taught the word of
God in a way that you will never forget.
So, you have two
choices- send Mary and Joseph door to door and let them be
told that there's no room and the inn OR blow your church away
with a fresh new perspective through Mary's eyes.
