Black History with a Powerful Message!

Peace Be Still is the first play released by Playhouse Ministries in 2004 because of it's Present Truth.

On September 20, 1958, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was attending a book signing in Harlem when an estranged woman walked up to him and asked him if he was Dr. King.  Once he answered yes, she stabbed him in the chest, almost killing him.

Peace Be Still is an exciting skit about the days following the attack.  The entire play takes place in Dr. King's hospital room.  It's clever technology will make preparing for February a snap.

Requires 3 main characters (Dr. King, Coretta, and Dr. Maynard) plus 4 unseen spokespersons. Approximate running time is 15 minutes. You have the alternative of downloading sound clips or ordering the CD for $5.

There is a powerful message here about how to accomplish goals as a Christian community and how to handle the adversary.  The words of Dr. King are just as relevant today as they were in 1958.  I chose this event for the play to remind African Americans in Dr. Kings own words how we can overcome by improving ourselves and trusting God. I want to tell you a whole lot more but you have to get the play to find out what I'm talking about.  I promise you that you won't regret it. As with all of our plays, if you read it and find out it's not for you, just let us know and we'll return your money with no hassle.
