Celebrate Mother's Day with a Powerful Message!

Walk With Me was the sixth play released by Playhouse Ministries in 2004- with plenty of time to prepare for Mother's Day.

This is a complete Mother's Day program in one package for just $10.

Walk With Me takes place on two fronts- on a plantation at the beginning of the Civil War and in the present.  The play uses flashbacks to show how black mothers have been keeping families together for a long time.  It even pauses to make room for a mother's day presentation by small children.

Requires 1 adult female, 2 teenage boys, 1 little girl and two little boys as the main characters (plus any number of small children that you want to use for presentations). Approximate running time is 20 to 30 minutes depending upon whether or not you use music. 

 There is a powerful message here about the roots of broken families in the African American community.   I chose this event for the play to  encourage our young people to be the very best that they can be and also to celebrate the determination of black mothers to hold their families together. Hello...I am the President of our Senior Choir, Junior Choir and Young Women's Ministry at my church. For our Black History program, we performed "Walk With Me" with an all-girl cast. :-) My girls done such a wonderful job, we got a standing ovation afterwards.
